About this speaker
Allan is Finance Director for Restaurant Brands New Zealand Group's California Division. He is also a Board Member and Vice President of the Southern California Regional KFC Franchisee Association since 2023.
Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited (RBNZ) and its subsidiaries (together the Group), also referred to as Restaurant Brands (RBD), operates the KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Carl’s Jr. brands in New Zealand, the KFC and Taco Bell brands in Australia, the KFC and Taco Bell brands in California, and the Taco Bell and Pizza Hut brands in Hawaii, Saipan and Guam.
These brands – four of the world’s most famous – are distinguished for their product, look, style, ambience and service and for the total experience they deliver to their customers around the world.
The Group supports 506 stores (378 owned and 128 franchised) as at 30 June 2024 with 2023 Group Sales of over $NZ1.3 billion across the four markets.
Recommencing in January 2021, this is Allan’s second stint with the group. He previously was Group Commercial Manager from 2007 to 2013.
Prior to returning, Allan had been CFO at Loyalty New Zealand and had senior executive roles at Abano Healthcare. Allan has had a number of senior commercial and finance roles in QSR, Healthcare, FMCG, Logistics and Marketing Services (Loyalty Management and Media/Consumer Research.
Allan has a BCom in Accounting and Finance; Commercial Law; and Management Studies and Labour Relations and a Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing) from Auckland University. He is a CA member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Outside of work, Allan and his wife are the parents of two young children and when parental duties allow, his interests include endurance running – completing over 50 half marathons in 9 years, cycling, cooking, sports photography as an accredited media photographer, boating and fishing.
