Ilana Esterrich

Ilana Esterrich is a dynamic strategic and financial leader with a proven track record in finance, accounting, and operational excellence.

Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Ilana plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to provide essential healthcare access and empower individuals to make informed choices about their lives and bodies. In her capacity as CFO, she oversees a comprehensive portfolio including accounting, treasury, compliance, strategic sourcing and procurement, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), while also managing program and grants financial operations. Ilana collaborates closely with the President/CEO and executive leadership across various domains, including strategy, programs, human resources, legal, IT, and operations, ensuring that financial strategies align with organizational goals.

Before joining Planned Parenthood, Ilana was the CFO at the American Coatings Association, where she championed the interests of the paint and coatings industry. Her extensive experience also includes serving as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, a prominent defense research institution. Ilana's diverse background spans consulting, operations, logistics, sales and marketing, and international business, honed through roles at industry leaders such as Thomson Reuters, General Mills, The Pillsbury Company, Computer Sciences Corporation, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

An active thought leader, Ilana contributes her expertise to several professional organizations. She is an Advisory Committee Member of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the CFO Leadership Council and serves on the North American FP&A Advisory Council at the Association for Financial Professionals. Additionally, she is a Senior Member of the Fairfax Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, where she leads logistics and administrative efforts for both cadets and senior members.

Ilana is a sought-after speaker on topics such as leadership, the evolving role of the CFO, finance digital transformation, and innovative financial management practices. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
