Michael Smith

Michael is Debt Capital Markets Adviser at Winterflood Securities. He began his extensive career in bonds at Chase Manhattan/JP Morgan, as part of their High Yield Research team, later moving to Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as a Vice President for High Yield Debt Capital Markets. He then held the position of Director of Debt Capital Markets at the Bank of Scotland/Lloyds Banking Group, and further served as a Senior Director of Debt Capital Markets for Investec.

 In 2017, Michael moved to BondCap, a specialist sterling debt capital markets boutique, as its Managing Director, executing key transactions with institutions, including, Nationwide Building Society, Ladbrokes Finance PLC and Land Securities Capital Markets PLC. In 2023, he joined Winterflood Securities to oversee its Debt Capital Markets division, with the key objective to provide issuers in the primary UK public bond markets with ‘simple-to-use access’.
